I found this green wire teacup and saucer in a vintage resale shop the other day and thought it would make a unique vase for a whimsical flower arrangement. All I did was place a small glass of water into the wire cup and then arrange freshly cut flowers that are currently blooming in my September garden.

I never really realized how pretty hosta flowers are with their beautiful trumpet shaped mauve flowers and super long stamens, with pollen filled anthers balanced daintily on the ends. It's wonderful to be able to admire their delicate and ephemeral beauty up close.

This vibrant orange, purple and green flower arrangement is made up of secondary colors on the color wheel, a secondary triadic color scheme. Secondary colors are made up of mixing primary colors (red, blue and yellow). And 'triadic' colors are three colors that are evenly spaced on the colors wheel. (orange, purple and green). This provides a high contrast, vibrant, harmonious color scheme. Colors influence our senses and evoke different psychological feelings.
